• SMILE LIKE THAT CLOUD IN THE SKY

  "The sky was a vibrant light blue without a cloud in the sky, sun shining warmly and brightly overhead in the early afternoon. It was incredibly cold, temperatures hovering just below zero and the leftover 4 feet of snow of the past winter was now only 2 feet. Everything was frozen and slippery. A boy wearing a jacket and side bag sits down on a metal chair, followed by a girl wearing a jacket and backpack. They take a table on the outside patio of a local Starbucks, sitting across from each other. Their books and binders sprawed out on the table as they study for their upcoming science provincials. They are not cold though, for they sit next a post that acts like an outdoor heater and the sun warms their faces. The girl is wearing his hat and scarf. She earlier protested against wearing it upon offer but gave in after much argument. She asks a question in hopes of understanding what she was reading. The guy attemps to explain it to her as he tries to block the sun's glares of his papers. They laugh. They are the only ones on the patio, the background music coming from outdoor speakers of the popular coffee shop. "
  
  I don't know. I thought this scene was very cute in my eyes this afternoon.
